Multi-phased Billing & MDM Replacement
Provided a range of strategic services over 2.5 years to assist customer with their replacement of a wholesale power billing system and integrated meter data management system.
- Phase 1: Options analysis for replacement.
- Phase 2: Production of an extensive RFP that included software, contractual, legal, and project implementation requirements.
- Phase 3: Generation of a vendor evaluation model and scoring matrix.
- Phase 4: PM for the implementation, ensuring that the vendor was meeting functionality and schedule requirements, that the SOW and deliverables were being met, and that the project communications and stakeholders were effectively managed.
Smart Meter/AMI Roadmap and Strategy
Developed a long-term strategy required for full deployment of Smart Metering in service territory; generated functional and technical requirements for AMI/MDM Solution, created a multi-phase implementation plan and solution architecture, and generated integration architecture outlying key integration points and data flows.
Customer Identity Validation
Analyzed internal and external options and presented findings to stakeholders and multiple departments. Subsequently, developed a comprehensive plan for an online identity validation solution ensuring roles and responsibilities are clear, risks are mitigated, and regulatory and legal impacts are minimized.
Consumer Privacy Initiatives
Advisory services centered around process implementation and business transformation for legal, compliance and data governance purposes. Led requirements gathering, QA & Production Testing, and inventory of enterprise consumer data to ensure compliance with state mandated regulations.
Enterprise Safety Strategy
Developed a strategic roadmap for Enterprise Safety applications; roadmap provided both technical and landscapes around EHSM (Enterprise Health & Safety Management system) and supporting applications; delivered a future state strategy and phased implementation timeline.
Software Vendor Assessment & Optimization
Analyzed and assessed vendor’s software development life cycle (SDLC) and made recommendations for improvement and optimization. Documented optimal processes for software releases, patches, bug fixes, and enhanced functionality requests; assessed SDLC operations, evaluated gaps between vendor and industry best practices to produce a Capabilities Maturity Model (CMM), and recommended strategy to address gaps.
