Core Functionality Migration

From project coordination activities to integration support services, including sequencing of design interfaces and associated prioritization, BBP has assisted clients with moving from legacy CIS applications to SAP.

With the help of our rate knowledge and expertise, clients have been able to configure complex rates in their SAP system. Our team has helped clients optimize their cutover window and facilitated parallel operations/systems helping them successfully transition to using SAP “out of the box” core functionality.

Renewable Energy & Clean Transportation

EV Submetering

From developing extensive process documentation/ SOPs to ensuring compliance and performing full lifecycle business systems analysis, the BBP team has provided IT implementation support for SAP S/4 Billing and Rates and MDMS Integration for Electric Vehicle Sub-metering for residential customers. Assisted client legal and other teams to ensure optimized EV deployment with reduced internal operational costs.

EV & On Campus Charging

Developed functional and technical requirements for an On Campus Charging program; also performed Site Configuration/Site Setup in SAP S/4 and resolved pricing/consumption issues.

Clean Transportation

Supported IT development team for technical design and agile alignment and supported Minimal Viable Product (MVP) Launch (Training, Documentation, Customer Portal, Advisory Services). Developed functional and technical requirements for Fuel Savings Calculator.

Fleet Electrification

Developed specialized billing and rates analysis to support conversion to EV for customer fleet operations. Provided industry expertise with planning for fleet electrification and emerging technologies to help reduce the overall carbon footprint.

Digital Customer Transformation

Meter to Cash Optimization

Supported various initiatives for our clients involving Device Management, Regulatory and Rates, Consumption Management, and Complex Billing.

Customer Engagement & Transformation

Responsible for project coordination and Scrum Master roles to implement a new Web Portal, Contact Center of the Future with SAP C4C Integration, and AI-enabled functionality.

Advanced Payment Processing

Led the strategy, planning, and coordination across multiple stakeholder groups to ensure successful delivery of an enterprise-wide transformation of payment processing to more modern platforms, allowing for a diverse set of payment channels for customers to be able to pay quickly and effectively (such as web, guest pay, IVR, and mobile).

From defining business and technical requirements to managing testing and deployment execution, enhanced payment capabilities were delivered that improved the customer experience and positioned the utility for continued digital innovation.

Upgrade to S/4 HANA

Overall Strategic Roadmap

Developed a comprehensive plan for the upgrade to S/4 HANA involving multiple projects across various pipelines/work streams while ensuring risks are mitigated and regulatory impact minimized.

System Deployment & Cutover Strategy

Developed a Cutover Strategy and Dress Rehearsal Plan involving multiple environments for the S/4 HANA upgrade.

Overall Program & Test Manager Role

Supported the entire S/4 HANA upgrade in the roles of both Program Manager and Test Manager.

Edge Applications & Integration

Regulatory Management System (RMS) &
Environmental Management System (EMS)

Provided implementation support for RMS integration to SAP regulatory compliance modules and EMS integration to SAP’s Environmental Tracking System (ETS).

Field Service Delivery

Developed extensive test management for new enterprise mobile workforce management system and delivered automation solutions in an Agile framework. Created Executive and Stakeholder Operational and Project Dashboards and Analytics Tools. Improved implementation efficiency through automation, standardized processes, and ADO integration.

Automated Utility Design

Provided IT Project Management to implement Graphical Design tool with complex integration to SAP Asset Management, Materials, and Compatible Unit/Design Unit functionality modules.

Specialized Programs

Community Choice Aggregation (CCA)

Assisted client with the implementation of the first CCA within it’s service territory. Provided expertise for complex billing issues related to Net Energy Metering (NEM) Billing, Solar Billing, Virtual NEM, and NEM Aggregation. Developed new EDI integration and stand- alone rate comparison tool.

Residential Time of Use (TOU) Rate Transition

Supported mass transition to TOU rates of 800K+ customers involving SAP CRM functionality, integration, business process optimization, and development of rate comparison tools.

Customer Assistance Programs

Performed business analysis, requirements gathering, and high level design for enhancing existing customer assistance programs and offering new programs. Also provided oversight for integration into SAP S/4.
